Four friends, four inquiring souls with a desire to compare their respecting views, to know and to let other people know their Venice… It is with this aim in view that, coming from different backgrounds and professional experiences, Roberto, Davide, Francesca and Alessandra have given birth to the B&B ‘Al Pozzo di Luce’.
A big dormer-window and its light, trusses, beams, wrought iron, an ox-eye window, exposed bricks, Venetian marble… four bedrooms overlooking a central room.
Al Pozzo di Luce is an intimate and refined B&B situated just a few steps away from Fondamente Nove, one of the most distinctive and authentic areas of Venice.
Accurate restoration works, that recently came to an end, have made this habitation a modern, comfortable, functional and simple place, equipped with all comforts a traveller could possibly wish.
Renovated with passion and enthusiasm, in accordance with its original structure, Al Pozzo di Lucecombines elements of the Venetian tradition with modernity.
It hosts a few objects which have been found inside the old building and that, in the new one, regain a new life, along with others that have been created on purpose by Venetian artists.
Al Pozzo di Luce is an ideal place for a romantic, pleasure or business trip.
Situated in a strategic and quiet position, a few steps away from what was Titian’s atelier, it allows you to reach the train station or the airport within a short time.
Saint Marc square or Rialto bridge are within 15 minutes walk; the main islands of the lagoon (Murano, Burano, Torcello) can be reached by water buses (vaporetti), that are within two minutes walk.
The B&B has a hall for breakfasts and three double bedrooms, each one furnished with private bathroom and shower, TV, Wi-Fi, fridge-bar, strongbox, independent heating and air conditioner.
The owners will be glad to welcome you and provide you with all the relevant advice to make your stay in Venice unique. Upon arrival, you will be given a map of the city, where the major sites of interest are indicated: places to visit, shops, supermarkets and best restaurants where to savour the delicious Venetian cuisine.
To fully appreciate it, Venice must be experienced. You have to stay there for at least a couple of days, walk, get lost, walk some more, visit exhibitions, museums, get lost again, enjoy a good local dish, reach the islands, and get lost again… all very calmly. Because Venice is slow time, it must be savored slowly.
Finding the right place to stay is therefore very important; a place where you can feel pampered, where you can rest after long walks, where you can leaf through a good book about the city, feel the times and rhythms of the city. Venice is slow time but also a real dream. By staying in one of our apartments your dream will come true.
The apartments we manage, all located in the Castello district, are ideal for small groups of friends, families or couples and allow you to experience the city like a true Venetian.
You will find well-organised spaces, cleaned by us personally, elegant and equipped with every comfort.
