BIENNALE MUSICA 2018
Friday 28th September – Sunday 7th October 2018
Open to “a more up-to-date interpretation of the concept of contemporary”, following the thought of Director Ivan Fedele, and dedicated to the musical influences between Europe and the Americas, the 62nd International Festival of Contemporary Music, titled Crossing the Atlantic, will take place in Venice from September 28th to October 7th.

Basilica di San Giovanni e Paolo
The Basilica di San Giovanni e Paolo, known in Venetian as San Zanipolo, is a church in the Castello sestiere of Venice, Italy.
One of the largest churches in the city, it has the status of a minor basilica. After the 15th century the funeral services of all of Venice’s doges were held here, and twenty-five doges are buried in the church.
Scuola Grande di San Marco
The Scuola Grande di San Marco originally was home to one of the six major sodalities or Scuole Grandi of Venice. It faces the Campo San Giovanni e Paolo, one of the largest squares in the city. Today it hosts the city Hospital (Ospedale Civile).

Exhibition space devoted to the languages of the contemporary art, photography especially. Placed in a magnificent building, testimony of the Venetian architecture of early ‘900, overlooks the Channel of the Giudecca from where you can admire St Mark square and the Doge’s Palace.
