FESTA DELLA MADONNA DELLA SALUTE
Saturday 21 November 2020
The Festa della Salute is certainly the one with the least “tourist” impact, and that evokes a sincere popular religious sentiment. Also this holiday, like that of the Redeemer, recalls another terrible plague, that of the two years 1630-31, and the consequent vote made by the Doge to obtain the intercession of the Virgin. To date, thousands of citizens parade on November 21 in front of the high altar of the imposing Salute Church to perpetuate the age-old bond of gratitude that binds the city to the Virgin Mary.
Saturday 30 January – Tuesday 16 February 2021
The most famous and followed event in Venice, which needs no introduction.
